So there's this documentary going on now about Coke, and I just found out that the reason I keep seeing Pepsi bottles and no Coke bottles nowadays was because Pepsi bought the top two bottling companies! Haha, and all this time I naively thought people didn't like Coke or something lol...

Since I love food, I decided that when I bake or cook or whatever, I will document this into the public part of my LiveJournal :D Yes I love cake. quite a bit too, so I decided to document this cake making experience (haven't eaten it yet, so will wait on taste)

Before blending

After blending (yes, I cheated, I used the Betty Crocker cake mix. If being a housewife is in my future, I don't think my husband would know cake from scratch vs cake mix :D win....that and, the few times I tried making cake from scratch, I failed. Very badly

Put in it a bundt pan (notice, this is an important detail).

Chocolate icing for the cake. nom nom nom.

And here's the bundt cake when cooked.

OMG! Can you see the difference? Do you know why I said to pay attention to the BUNDT pan? The stupid cake crumbled...note to self, MUST remember non-stick oil bleck. Anyway...with the icing, not so horrible a disaster, maybe?

And the finished product: chocolate cake with blueberries. I never want to buy Betty Crocker frosting again...but if I make cakes at school, I guess I have too. It's simple enough to make, but a hassle of a number of ingredients...

Actually, maybe that shouldn't be my title-I have actually lost my phone before...and got in huge trouble. :O

Anyway, this is my first public post in a while! ...which means, I might not be writing too much personal stuff, but that's obvious. But then again, I do rabble on and am random so maybe some thing might slip.

So this past month, I've been on the Metro quite a bit. But when you go to the Metro about the same time in the morning at the same for a while, you see a lot of the same people. I know, it's not all that surprising. But it reminds me of school, especially for my major, which is a somewhat smaller major-when you see those people at every class, their faces stick to your brain.

But anyway, through my countless Metro journeys, I've also seen some very interesting incidents. There's this awesome site that pokes fun at DC interns. I'm thinking I should put up my random Metro experiences for my own amusement and memories and whatnot.

Ooh, fireworks going off! July 4 is coming up!!! Hehehe

Ok, so pushing that aside.

My story today (from what happened in the metro yesterday):

'There was this "pregnant" lady standing up waiting for her next stop. This other lady decided to be nice and ask the pregnant lady if she wanted to sit down (and I'm not mean, I was standing, so it's not like I would not have offered!). The "pregnant" lady said no and turned the other way angrily with this huge glare on her face. So my best guess is that she wasn't pregnant'

Yea, boring story, huh? LOL

But omg, there was this thing on the news that this man was found sitting NAKED in an airplane flight. That's just gross man. Ewww.

Wimbledon update! (since I follow tennis quite religiously):
Semifinals: Andy vs. Andy, Fed vs. Haas
Semifinals: Safina vs. Venus, Serena vs Dementieva

Personally, in the beginning of the tournament, I was rather sad that Nadal couldn't make it, because I really don't want Federer to win...again and break Pete Sampras' record. But I think now, that his absence has made men's tennis much more interesting. Like, had Nadal stayed, would we have seen Roddick in the semi-finals? Mmmm, tough call (slight sarcasm) but I think not. I read that NBC didn't show live coverage of the Roddick-Hewitt game, and that's just plain weird. But that game was so much better than the other quarterfinals. Plus, from this tournament, Roddick and Hewitt were my favorite players.

What I want for the finals:
Haas vs. Roddick and Williams vs. Williams
The men's side seems almost virtually impossible. There's something about Andy Murray that I don't like. Maybe it's also because I'm not British, so I'm not hyped up about this "first man since Fred Perry oh ho ho". And Haas has been rather brilliant recently. Don't get me wrong, Federer is like in a class by himself, but it'd be cool to have some change...right?

As for the women, both the Williams sisters are playing fantastically. Can you imagine that a few years ago, they were out of the top 100? And yet, when they come back to the top, people call them boring? Well, I can kind of see that. If it was Fed vs Nadal, I'd call that boring too.

Thing is, and here comes another rabble, I feel that as quality in tennis player, is Nadal really to be #1? He has so much athleticism but I feel that Federer and perhaps Murray (ugh) have better tennis. But that's just me.

And on that note, both of my favorite players have already retired. They're Andre Agassi and Justine Henin.

So the door alarm keeps going off and it's getting annoying! Shut up! ((actually it usually means that someone is holding the door too long-so don't hold the door)

Right now, as I'm taking a SHORT break from studying I'm watching this fat squirrel running around. He's really cute

And now this alarm is getting annoying. If it's a fire alarm, I'll cry :/

Yay, keep frolicking squirrel, while I can't do it at the moment.

I sprained my wrist earlier this week! It hurt a lot, but now it's better. Apparently, it's because I'm doing tennis semiregularly...lol

when I told my mom, she wanted me to drop the class, which wasn't going to happen because
1. I waited so long to even get into a tennis class
2. I want to play tennis and be good
3. I got a nice racket
4. I love tennis

:D

but I did skip today...it was icy though so I'm ok with that :P

I finally got bored of not having an username picture so now I'm up as Jigglypuff...She's cute though, but does she have to be pink? Lol, I'm not that against pink, and I suppose it's all right. And she sings people and Pokemon to sleep. Wow, I have not watched Pokemon in a long time...lol

I'm heading back to school today! Which means I'm looking around to see what I might forget (because I ALWAYS forget something...sometimes it's important and sometimes it's not, depends on my luck)

And I watched Bedtime Stories yesterday...it was truly a Disney movie...not a classic, but totally meant for little kids. But that guinea pig was cute, with its big eyes :D

Adventures of...a SIM card

Oh Oh, I got this JAVA book for $1!!! Not that I'm that interested in JAVA (I'm not that much a nerd or anything) but it looks like an useful book, and it looks brand new, and it was only $1!! :)

And now, the adventures of getting a new SIM card.

Drove to one area phone store...found out store closed...and that nearby pet store is closing! poor little puppies (after reading and watching Marley and Me, I REALLY want a puppy)

Drove to ANOTHER area phone store...that is open, thankfully, and gave me a new SIM card for the phone...but then charged my dad and me $26 for the SIM card, even though yesterday a different store said it was free (apparently there's a difference between corporate and retailer)

Argued briefly with person, who said we could get the credit since I'm eligible for an upgrade, but then said we had to call customer service in order to do that

More customers came in, and person decided to just give it to us free! YAY! and my phone is cute and small! (it also looks surprisingly new, which ,i guess, means my dad didnt use it much when he had it..?) and the screen is orange and circly! i'm happy :D well, it's not a camera phone though...and it is different, but i'll live with it :D

but I'm still not ready for more gift wrapping...

I have no idea, but I was thinking about something and then I thought of this movie, and I have no idea what the movie title is!

So I'm posting this, not exactly so people will read it, but for my purpose of if I remember the title later today, I can match title and plot together (even though it's a choppy plot)

Plot:

President goes in the plane, plane crashes, assasination attempt...but he survives
He is on the road with another expresident (from different parties I think)
I think someone inside the Oval Office is trying to be president so they sent Secret Service after president
The president and other dude know they're being chased so they're on the run (and they meet different ppl who tell them their dreams and dissapointments in the past two presidencies...and they run into a truck of illegal immigrants, and one of the presidents gives a boy his coat..and into a gay parade.)
They get somewhere and then go to one of the president's libraries to get something
They return to the White House and stops something else from happening
In the end, the president, ex-president run again for office and fight over who's pres and vp

two more days (not including today!)

I'm heading back to school Sunday...all break I've been anticipating it, but now I'm not looking forward to it. Going back means schools starts! ...and no more fake studying :(

I am excited to see my suitemates and friends though...but still. rawr

And now, I also feel like taking out my thing of saying I'm trying out for a capella. I mean, yea, I still love to sing but I'm awful...let's see how my internal debating skills work out.

It's morning so I should eat breakfast but I want to make cake...there's still little japanese cake-in-a-mug recipe that looks super easy and i really want to try that. Maybe I'll do it when my brother gets back today...and HE gets to go on a field trip to ihop, which I'm jealous. I wanted to do the "all you can eat pancakes" and then my mom said i was "yao-gwee" (not quite sure what the english translation is, but something along the lines of "want to eat a lot")...

so i guess i'll head down and eat some nice healthy breakfast...and later today or tomorrow, start packing...whoa!

My dad was cleaning out the basement and like other families (I think), you find old things and everything. Well, he found an old notebook that he brought to my fifth grade teacher conversation (whatever those are called) things. He looked into it since it was only the first page and read out this part: "Behavior: Kicks other girls." ...

I never realized that I was so violent in fifth grade...? That's weird. When my dad said that, I looked confused and he said he forgot about it...but apparently I kicked other girls back then, weird.

Sarah McLachlan is really good. (I warned myself that this blog is meant for me since I'm random). And I'm now stuck on Fallen by her...

But let's be cool and go over what I did yesterday and today (since I still don't want to fake study quite yet)

Yesterday:

Roasted peppers and cooked with onions with spaghetti. nom nom
Made Mexican wedding cakes (and no, no one is getting married, they just taste good)
Did laundry
Fake studied
Watched Samantha Brown go to Belize, Bizarre Foods (Travel Channel) and owned at Wheel of Fortune

Today:

Ate about a third of the wedding cakes I made, delicious (and there's this deli place name Deli' Cioso, which is really funny because it means delicious in Spanish if you say it as one word...)
Watched Marley and Me (which is good, but the book was so much better, which most books are except for LOTR)
Fake studied more
Cooked dinner
Tried AGAIN to get into a tennis class :(
